What happens to the items that require disposal?
Well first of all it doesn't end up in a field! We abhor the fly tippers that are blighting our cities and beautiful countryside.
For all non re-useable items they get taken to a commercial waste transfer station and disposed of in accordance with environment agency rules. The alternatives below are used as often as possible.
By Donating to Charities , mainly to Cancer research. Items such as books, household items,clothing, records/cd's etc whenever possible.
Recycling all timber which goes to produce animal bedding.
Recycling bio-mass ( MDF, chipboard and plywood ).
Recycling all metal.
Donating any use-able bikes to local charity.
Recycling all electrical equipment, such as tv's, monitors, computers..... basically anything with a plug!
Recycling all inert waste such as soil, rubble, concrete and brick.
Recycling old tyres for equestrian bedding.
OUR AIM IS TO FIND A LANDFILL ALTERNATIVE FOR EVERYTHING WE POSSIBLY CAN.
